CAA and AOC

All Conciair flights use AOC aircraft and comply with CAA standards, however not all operators do comply, so please check first when comparing quotes.

Check your rights

If as a passenger you are hiring, paying for or partially funding a flight in a helicopter, small aeroplane or business jet, you should ask prior to your flight.

• Who is the operator of your flight?
• Does the operator holds an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC).

Provided the operator holds a valid AOC, it is likely that the other requirements will also have been met.

The operation of helicopters or aeroplanes for hire or reward is illegal unless specific requirements are met. These include the licensing of the pilot, the certification of the aircraft and the certification of the operator of the flight.

If these requirements are not met then the safety of your flight may be compromised and any insurance, both aircraft and personal, may be invalid.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) monitors certificated operators in a number of ways to check that they meet the required standard for the carriage of passengers.
